Concert: Kent The Band

Audience: Approx. 9000

So, Kent announced earlier this year they were calling it quits, and wanted to end the whole thing with a new album, a best of album and a farewell tour.

The first concert (October 22nd) in Oslo Spektrum was sold out before I could get a ticket, but a few days later they announced another concert the day after. I easily got a ticket for the latter, and got a really good seat (I prefer to sit in Oslo Spektrum if I get a good seat), and yesterday was the day.

It was a simple yet professional concert, and the first hour went by like it was 5 minutes. It had a bunch of hits, but I guess they could’ve chosen more from their older albums. Mostly since I haven’t been listening much to the new one yet. 😀 Overall the concert lasted for about 2 hours and 20 minutes, so it was a long one. Well worth the steep ticket price  of 650 NOK actually.

Speaking of albums; I bought the new album, and the recently released double-CD Best Of collection – which contain four new songs as well. Additionally I bought a farewell tour t-shirt.

I recorded the whole intro and the first song, “999”, and you can see it below. Note that the lyrics are in Swedish.
