I always want to try new things, and this time I wanted to check out a concert abroad. Sonata Arctica is first up, and the gold nugget here is that I’ve never seen them live before. I used to listen to this band a lot 10+ years ago, so it was about damn time I got to see them. 🙂
The concert was only a few days ago (October 11th) at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen, Denmark – and I still have the whole thing in my head and body. It was an excellent concert, with me standing right in front of the stage. That’s why the filming is like this as well (not widescreen), because I couldn’t fit the guys into the screen otherwise. XD
You can see the setlist at the beginning of the video below, which is Fullmoon in its entirety, and a small excerpt of Wolves Die Young. Was to busy watching the show that I didn’t film that much.
Support was Twilight Force, and it was a bunch of fun to see them as well as I’ve never heard them before. They had some classic power metal going on, and I will definitely check them out further.
They dropped a new video just before the show (they released the album The Ninth Hour only a few days ago), and the new tunes were really good live. Will check out the new CD too since I got it at the concert.
