Concert: Muse

Muse plays alternative rock music made for huge stadiums and arenas, and the show itself is beyond awesome: Animations, lightning, lasers, and plenty of other things to keep your senses occupied. They played 25 songs and the concert lasted for about 2 hours, but it felt more like 30 minutes.

This time I went to Copenhagen, Denmark to see them and get some other stuff done. The concert was fantastic, and everything else was really great too. Good times! 🙂

For this video I had recorded both Supermassive Black Hole and The 2nd Law: Unsustainable (an instrumental song). Both spectacular tracks in their own way, and very different at the same time. I decided to include both in my YouTube video, because I like them both.

Check out everything Muse at Muse.mu, and support the band by buying their music and merch from their Muse.mu Store.

The setlist for the entire concert can be seen here on Setlist.fm.

I saw Muse in Oslo, Norway in 2016 too, and here’s a collection of clips from that concert:

Leprous – Below (2019)

More music! Leprous is one of my top favourite bands, and they keep on evolving their music. Below is their first single from the next album, and they made a pretty cool video to go with it as well.

The song is beyond awesome, and I’m already ready for the album, Pitfalls, which will be released on October 25th.

I will see them live in Oslo in November as well, and that’s seriously gonna be sweeeeet.

Alcest – Protection (2019)

A new album, Spiritual Instinct, by Alcest will be arriving on October 25th. This is the first single from that album and *spoiler alert* it’s pretty damn good, and I’m really looking forward to the album!

So far no dates has been added in Norway/Scandinavia for their upcoming tour, but hopefully something will come later. 🙂

Speaking of Alcest (Neige). He is featured in one of Ison’s songs from their upcoming album INNER – SPACE. Ison is another favourite of mine and they consist og Heike (Draconian) and Daniel (Crippled Black Phoenix + many, many more). Make sure you check them out and buy their beautiful music.

Anyway, here’s the song with Neige:

Concert: John Fogerty

Why not do something different and see John Fogerty, the man behind the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), when he’s visiting Oslo?

Yeah! I waited for tickets to be released and managed to get two really good seats at an affordable price, and with that I got my sister a birthday present as well. 🙂

The concert was a July 4th so that added a little something extra to the concert too. They had a ripping good version of the US national anthem.

Overall I had plenty of fun, and the ca. 2 hours of music went by in no-time. It sure was a hit parade with many well-known songs, mostly from the CCR-era, but he also did a bunch of kick-ass cover songs.

The complete setlist from this concert can be seen here: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/john-f…

Go check out his tour and attend a concert if you can, or get some of his awesome merch: https://johnfogerty.com

Unfortunately he’s done with touring in Europe for now, but one can hope he’ll come back soon. 🙂

Concert: The Dogs

Due to some health issues I’ve put everything on hold… including concerts. Thankfully I think maybe I have gotten on top of those health things now, and I have started going to concerts again. 😀

It began with John Fogerty in July, but a video has not been added to YouTube yet. I’ve had some issues with my video editor as well, and figured them out just now. A video will appear tomorrow… at the latest.

Anway, yesterday was my 44th birthday, and I celebrated by going to see The Dogs who were playing at a local festival. I’ve only seen videos before and heard stories, so it was about time I experienced these guys live myself. It was awesome… and cold, so I didn’t stay for the entire show. Still what I saw was beyond awesome, and I will definitely catch these guys again sometime.

Check out their merch, music, and everything else on Facebook and their homepage.

This video is in 2160p resolution (a.k.a. 4K)! 🙂

World of Warcraft: WoW Classic

The classic version of WoW will be released soon (August 27th I believe it is), and yesterday we could finally pick 3 character names each.

This is what the queue looked like (~7100) to log into the game, not even 15 minutes after they made it available:2019-08-12 - WoW Classic Pick character names queue-Web.png

Two minutes earlier the queue was over 10k – and approx. 45 minutes estimated time to log in. Since people were only creating characters they weren’t logged on for that long I guess, so the queues went down quickly. 🙂

Steam Summer Sale 2019

The Steam Summer Sale 2019 has just finished, and as a part of the whole thing there was a race you could join. Getting achievements and buying stuff got you points which you could use to boost your team.

The whole race-bit was very buggy, so I didn’t get to do much. At the end of the race, however, I got all the points I thought I’d never get – and got to use them on some nice backgrounds, chat icons, and I even got a nice discount on a game or two because of it.

Team Corgi finished 1st, Tortoise on 2nd, and Hare on 3rd. I was on the Corgi team. 😀

World of Warcraft: Gnome Heritage Set

Heritage sets have been around for a while in World of Warcraft, but for the gnome race it was introduced in v8.2, which was released a few days ago.

I decided to just get the set asap since I like it so much, and here it is:2019-06-28 - Kebabnissen-Gnome Heritage Set Combined.png
